Good for CBT tools

I signed up for the Individual CBT Program. The daily journal and worksheets were helpful. Interface was easy to use. I found it useful for managing my stress.

Great value with first month discount

I was looking for an affordable way to try therapy and found Online-Therapy.com. The 20% off for the first month was a big factor in my decision. I used it for stress management. The CBT Toolbox was included and had a lot of resources, like meditation videos, which was good. For the price I paid, it felt like a worthwhile investment for getting started. I felt I got good value for my money.

Solid program, needs more therapist time

I used Online-Therapy.com for anxiety support. The CBT Toolbox was quite comprehensive with good self-help resources. The yoga and meditation videos were a nice bonus. My main issue was that live video sessions were a bit pricier than I expected for the frequency I needed. I think they could offer more flexible session packages, but overall, it was a good experience.

Really helped with my anxiety!

I've been using the Online Therapy for Anxiety program and it's fantastic! The therapist messaging was super responsive and the CBT worksheets really made me think. I loved the activity plan and how it kept me on track. I saw real progress in just a few weeks. Definitely recommending this to everyone!

Detailed review of the CBT program

I started with the Individual CBT Program about two months ago to address some low self-esteem issues. The registration process was straightforward, and I was matched with a therapist within a day. The CBT Toolbox is extensive; I particularly liked the structured worksheets that guide you through CBT principles. I used the daily journal feature consistently, and the progress tracking was a good visual aid. My therapist was communicative through messaging, providing feedback on my journal entries and worksheets. I also scheduled two live video sessions, which were productive. The platform felt secure and professional. Delivery of the service, being online, was immediate after sign-up. It's a solid platform if you're committed to doing the work.

hey, was thinking about trying this out for anxiety. anyone know if it's actually any good compared to like, Talkspace or something?

N Nathan P. 1 week ago
I used it for a bit before switching to BetterHelp (just because of my insurance, not quality). The CBT approach here is really structured, which I found super helpful for my anxiety. BetterHelp felt a bit more open-ended.

yeah, it's pretty good. I like the worksheets, makes you actually do the work instead of just talking. my friend tried Talkspace and said it was fine but not as many tools.

how long does it typically take to get matched with a therapist after signing up? trying to figure out timing.

J Jacob Moore 1 week ago
It was pretty quick for me, like a day or two. Maybe even less depending on when you sign up.

I think it's usually within a few days. They try to get you matched up fairly fast so you can get started.

what's the deal with the 'CBT toolbox'? is it just a bunch of articles or like actual interactive stuff?

S Sofia Garcia 2 weeks ago
It's pretty interactive! You get worksheets, a daily journal, and even stuff like yoga and meditation videos. It's more than just reading material, which is nice.

L Linda Nguyen 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's not just a library of PDFs. There's a progress tracker and an activity plan too, so you actually work through things.

Is there usually a discount for new users? Like a first month off or something when you sign up?

H Hannah J. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they almost always have something for your first month. I got 20% off when I started last year.

M Megan D. 2 weeks ago
definitely. just check their site or do a quick google for a promo code before you sign up. you can only use one though, so pick the best one.

P Patricia Brown 1 week ago
I'm pretty sure they do offer a student discount! I remember seeing it mentioned somewhere. Worth checking their site or asking.

i'm interested in the couples therapy. can I still use one of those new customer discounts for that?

A Anthony A. 2 weeks ago
I believe so, yes. Discounts are generally for the subscription type, so if couples therapy is a subscription, it should apply.

B Brittany Roberts 2 weeks ago
AFAIK, the new customer discounts usually work on whatever type of therapy you sign up for first, including couples. But you can only use one code.

anyone used this for OCD? curious if the CBT approach is actually effective for that here.

L Lisa Flores 3 weeks ago
I did for my OCD and found the structured CBT really helpful. The worksheets and guided activities made a big difference for me in managing my compulsions.

J Justin W. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, CBT is one of the main approaches for OCD, so this platform's focus on it should be a good fit. My therapist there was really knowledgeable about ERP techniques too.

Do they take insurance at all? Or is it all out of pocket?

J Jeff Johnson 3 weeks ago
I don't think they do direct billing to insurance. I tried and had to pay myself. Some places give you a superbill though, not sure if this one does.

P Patricia Scott 2 weeks ago
From what I remember, it's mostly self-pay. You might be able to get reimbursement from your insurance if they cover out-of-network providers for mental health, but you'd have to check with your plan.
